Srinagar. Police Sub Inspector Arshid Ahmed Mir, who was injured in a terrorist attack in Khanyar area of Srinagar on Sunday, died during treatment in the hospital late in the evening. He had recently joined the Jammu and Kashmir Police. His body was taken to his Kapwara home on Sunday night, where hundreds of people came to pay his last respects.
One of the Jammu and Kashmir police officers had informed that around 1.35 pm, terrorists opened fire on a police naka party in Khanyar. In this, probationary sub-inspector Arshid Ahmad Mir of Khanyar police station was injured.
