New Delhi. Tata Motors, one of the country’s largest automobile companies, has said that its mini SUV Punch will be launched in the festive season. It is based on the H2X concept that the company showcased at last year’s Auto Expo. The company has not given information about its price. It will be positioned below the company’s compact SUV Nexon. Tata Motors said that it will be a mix of tough utility and sporting dynamics.
Shailesh Chandra, President, Passenger Business Vehicle Unit of the company said, “Panch as the name suggests will be an energetic vehicle that can be taken on all types of roads.”
He said, “With the SUV features of Tata Motors products and keeping in mind the needs of the customers. We want to launch a compact city car with SUV features. This will be the fourth product of the company’s SUV series. This will give a wide range for the customers to choose from.”

The new car could be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine. This engine is also used in Tata Tigor, Altroz and Tiago. The option of a turbo charged 1.2 liter engine can also be given in this. In the last few years, Tata Motors has made passenger vehicles very much liked by the customers. Tata Motors has also reduced the market share of Maruti Suzuki along with them.
