Moscow. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has warned that the trumpet of a rebellion against the Taliban has been sounded in Afghanistan. Lavrov said that insurgents are gathering in the Panjshir Valley of Afghanistan, which is led by the country’s Vice Presidents Amrullah Saleh and Ahmed Masood. He also said that there is no Taliban rule in the whole of Afghanistan right now. Lavrov said in Moscow, ‘The Taliban do not control the entire territory of Afghanistan. There are reports that the Vice President of Afghanistan and Ahmed Masood are protesting in the Panjshir Valley. The Russian Foreign Minister once again called for talks between all political factions of Afghanistan to form a ‘representative government’.
In fact, the Panjshir Valley of Afghanistan has once again become the center of rebellion. This valley is surrounded by mountains from all sides, due to which the Taliban have never been able to capture it till date. This is where both Saleh and Masood are now gathering fighters for an insurgency against the Taliban. Russia is cautiously optimistic that talks are held with the rebels so that the flames of violence do not reach the former Soviet Union countries Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

Where other countries including America, India are closing their embassies, the embassy of Russia is still working there. Earlier, Russian Ambassador Dmitry Zhirnov met Taliban leaders in Kabul. He had termed this meeting on state TV as positive and constructive. Russia has been in contact with the Taliban for the past several years, while the Taliban is a banned organization in Russia.
