Ujjwal had bought a Taiwanese papaya plant from West Bengal at Rs 60 per plant.

Ujjwal Lakra, a young farmer, says that he has started cultivating Taiwanese papaya in one acre of land in Mahuadand, located about 5 km from Mahuadand block. According to Ujjwal, after intermediate, he had decided to build a house on this land, but someone suggested him to cultivate Taiwanese papaya. Also told that it gives a lot of income. After this, he left the idea of building a house and started cultivating Taiwanese papaya.
The Taiwanese papaya crop is ready in 18 months. After this, after uprooting it, another plant is planted in its place. Ujjwal Lakra told that the Taiwanese papaya plant is four to five feet tall. Its taste is also very good. One plant gives one quintal or more of fruits. He told that the taste of Taiwanese papaya is also very good.
