New Delhi. Kia Motors has unveiled a new top-spec variant of its popular car Seltos and named it the X-Line. The price of this new variant with the petrol engine is 17.79 lakhs while the diesel offering is priced at 18.10 lakhs i.e. it is Rs 15000-25000 more expensive than the standard model. The current GTX+, which was till now the top-spec trim, costs 17.64 lakhs for the petrol engine and 17.85 lakhs for the diesel engine.
Let us first talk about what is new in this new Seltos. Kia has done numerous cosmetic upgrades to give the Seltos X-Line its distinct identity. Which is a big change in the exterior. The new Xclusive Matte Graphite paint which is unique and thus no other car in the segment offers this matte finish paint.
Specifications of Kia Seltos X-Line – Apart from this, Kia has given the X-Line an Xclusive Piano black (gloss black) finish at the front as well as a skid plate at the rear. Outside rear view mirrors, shark-fin antenna, tailgate garnish and faux exhaust on the rear bumper are new elements. You will get the Sun Orange asset on the skid plate, side door garnish and wheel cap with ingloss black insert. Coming to the wheels, the X-Line gets 18-inch alloy wheels that have been given a matte graphite finish. Apart from this, the X-Line begged present on the tail gate sets it apart from the rest of the Seltol model.

Kia Seltos X-Line Exterior and Features – It gets new Indigo Pera leatherette upholstery which is given on the seat and the door of the car. Apart from this change, there is no change in the rest of the feature list. This means that the top spec GT variant in the X line will get features like 10.25-inch wireless Android Auto and touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, connected car tech, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats and sunroof.

Mechanically, there is no change in the new Seltos X-Line i.e. it remains the same as the standard SUV. The X Line also gets a 1.4-litre, turbo petrol engine that makes 140hp power and 242Nm torque, along with a 1.5-litre, turbo petrol diesel engine. Which delivers 115hp power 250Nm torque. One thing that points out is that both these engines will be available with an automatic gearbox option only. This means that the turbo petrol engine will get a 7-speed DCT gear while the diesel engine is mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Like the regular model, the Seltos X-Line will also compete with the Skoda Kushak, Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, Renault Duster, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, MG Hector and Tata Harrier.
