A Samsung spokesperson confirmed the launch of the web version of the Samsung TV Plus streaming service for Protocol, which first reported the launch of Samsung’s streaming product on all devices.
Not new, just now for everyone
Now, Samsung TV Plus is not a new product. It has been for many years. However, it is limited to Samsung Smart TVs since 2016. The wide rollout for non-Samsung devices puts Samsung’s product in direct competition with ad-supported streaming services like Peacock, Roku Channel, or any number of free streaming services. Services like Pluto TV or Plex which are not present in India. While it’s not clear why Samsung has decided to go with a silent rollout instead of the web version of its streaming service, the company is exploring new ways to bring Samsung TV Plus to a larger audience.

No charge for subscription download
Samsung TV Plus streaming service is a free ad-based streaming product from the South Korean giant. It aims to give users instant access to top news, sports, entertainment, and more. Samsung claims that Samsung TV Plus does not require any download, sign-up or subscription.
