New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday chaired the meeting of the Union Council of Ministers, which was called ‘Chintan Shivir’. He said that simplicity is the way of life. Presentations on efficiency and time management were given by Union Ministers Mansukh Mandaviya and Dharmendra Pradhan in the meeting. He said that four more such “Chintan Shivirs” would be organized for further improvement in governance.
According to sources, four more such sessions will be held in which various Union ministers will make presentations. The two ministers shared good practices on time management, efficiency, root cause analysis of problems and selection of private employees. Apart from this some basic issues like dealing with people, responding to letters promptly were also shared in their presentations.

Remembering Manohar Parrikar
In the meeting, Modi asked the ministers to learn from the best practices of their colleagues. Remembering late Union Minister Manohar Parrikar, the Prime Minister said that simplicity is the way of life.
Modi talked about the banquet meetings, recalling the days of Gujarat, where everyone brought their own food to the meetings and shared ideas along with the food.
The meeting lasted for about five hours in the auditorium of Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Sources said the meeting was called ‘Chintan Shivar’, a contemplation session for overall improvement in efficiency and governance. He said that the Prime Minister holds regular meetings of the Council of Ministers, in which various ministries make presentations on important issues. The meetings also help the ministers to keep themselves updated with the various welfare schemes being run by the government.
