These agencies discovered the danger
Microsoft has asked its Windows users to beware of the PrintSpooler service, also known as Print Nightmare. This threat was discovered by three different security agencies, namely Tencent, AFINE and NSFOCUS. This was reported by Bleeping Computer. Another Chinese company, called Sengfor, has also written a writeup regarding PrintNightmare. The publisher recommends stopping and disabling the ‘PrintSpooler’ service as it appears to be the primary source of the virus and allows system access to the server through the service. Microsoft has not released an official patch for the threat.
