New Delhi. The indigenous social media platform ‘Koo’ will increase its workforce to 500 in the next one year. For this, the company is planning to recruit engineering, products and community management teams. Ku, which is called the Indian alternative of Twitter, currently has 200 employees in its payroll.
Koo’s co-founder Apramaya Radhakrishna said, “The company currently has 200 employees. With new appointments in departments like engineering, products and community management, the workforce will reach 500 in the next one year.”
Apart from this, the social media company will also recruit new employees in areas like government relations and marketing, brand marketing but these will include small teams. Radhakrishna said, “We want to attract the best talent workforce who can work for us and take Indian technology to the global stage.”

Apramaya Radhakrishna and Mayank Bidawat started Koo last year to give users an opportunity to express themselves and engage with the platform in Indian languages. It is available in several languages including Hindi, Telugu and Bengali.
Koo crosses 10 million users mark
Ku has seen a huge growth in its user base in the past few months after several Union ministers and government departments in India endorsed the indigenous social media platform. The company’s user base touched one crore mark last month. The company aims to reach 100 million users in the next one year.
