New Delhi: Jet Airways is preparing to fly soon. The company will resume domestic airlines by the first quarter of 2022. After this, short distance international flights will also be started by the end of 2022. Jalan Kalrock Consortium, the successful bidder for the acquisition of the airline, has given information about this.
According to the Jalan Kalrock Consortium, the first flight of Jet Airways will be on the Delhi-Mumbai route and the airline’s headquarters will now be in Delhi instead of Mumbai. Significantly, the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) had in June this year approved the resolution plan of the Jalan Kalrock tie-up for Jet Airways. The proceedings for the insolvency resolution of the company had started two years ago.

Know what is the goal of the company
“Jet Airways 2.0 aims to resume domestic operations by the first quarter of 2022 and international operations by the third/4th quarter of 2022,” said Murari Lal Jalan, key member of Jalan CalRock Consortium. Jalan’s plan to build a fleet of more than 50 aircraft in three years and over 100 in five years is well suited to the alliance’s short-term and long-term business plan, he said.
Operations closed in 2019
Jet Airways ceased operations in the year 2019. The company had to stop operating all its flights.
