New Delhi. Sub-Inspector Arshid Ahmed was shot dead by terrorists in Khanyar area of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. After the attack, the injured sub-inspector was admitted to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. On the death of the sub-inspector, Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh said that those responsible for the murder of the sub-inspector have been identified and action will be taken against them soon.
Expressing grief over the killing of Sub-Inspector Arshid Ahmed, Jammu and Kashmir DGP said, “We have lost a brave young officer. Sub-Inspector Arshid Ahmed had just started service and was learning the nuances of policing. Arshid Ahmed was posted to the hospital for medical examination of the accused. On Sunday, when he was returning from the hospital, the terrorists attacked him.

Soon after the incident the injured sub-inspector was admitted to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. This is a very sad time for us and the family of the sub-inspector. The Director General of Police said that the perpetrators of this heinous crime have been identified and they will be brought to justice very soon.

Please inform that Ahmed Khanyar was posted in the police station. A CCTV footage is going viral on social media, in which an attacker is seen with a weapon. The attacker is firing on Ahmed from close range. Ahmed, a resident of Kupwara, was shot when he was returning from a hospital where one of the accused was brought for examination. Officials said Ahmed was taken to SKIMS Hospital in Soura, but he succumbed to his injuries.
