New Delhi. The controversy has not stopped after the cancellation of the fifth and final Test match of the series between India and England (Manchester Test Called Off). Many players from England had decided to play in the second phase of IPL-2021. It was said on behalf of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that discussions will be held with the Board of England to organize this match in the future. Now BCCI secretary Jay Shah has said that the Indian board had offered England to play two additional T20 matches in next year’s tour.
Jay Shah told Cricbuzz that the BCCI has agreed to play two extra T20Is on the tour to England in July next year so that the ECB can make up for the loss caused by the cancellation of the Test at Old Trafford in Manchester But a condition has also been laid for all this that there should be no demand for cancellation of that Test match.
Shah said on Monday, ‘It is true that when we tour England next July, we have offered to play two additional T20 matches against England. Our team will play five T20 matches instead of three T20s. There is also an offer that you can optionally play the 5th Test match. Now it is entirely up to them (ECB) to choose one of the proposals.
