New Delhi. Indian cricketer Hanuma Vihari has severed ties with the Andhra Cricket Association. Now Vihari will play for Hyderabad team in this domestic season. The 27-year-old Vihari is a terrific batsman in domestic cricket and has performed brilliantly whenever he gets a chance in the Indian Test team. Vihari was part of the Indian team that went on the tour of England but he did not get a chance to play a single match.
Vihari, while giving information about his separation from Andhra on social media, wrote, “I am separating with Andhra Cricket Association in good relations. I have had the privilege of representing Andhra and captaining the team in the last five years. We came together as a team and we are very proud of that. I would like to thank all my colleagues, coaches and office bearers of the association for their continued support. I will be a part of Hyderabad Cricket Association from the coming season. Vihari used to play for Hyderabad earlier but in 2015 he joined Andhra team.
Average of 55 in domestic cricket
Hanuma Vihari has scored 7261 runs in 94 first class matches at an average of 55. He has 21 centuries and 37 half-centuries to his name in first class cricket. Vihari has also scored a triple century. While in List A cricket, Hanuma has scored 3001 runs in 80 matches at an average of 42.87. He has scored four centuries and 20 half-centuries. After a consistent performance in domestic cricket, Vihari was called from the Indian team in the year 2018 and made his Test debut on the tour of England. Vihari has played 12 Tests for India and scored 624 runs at an average of 32.84. In Test cricket, this batsman has scored one century and four half-centuries.
