New Delhi. Tech giant Google said on Thursday that it has appealed in the Delhi High Court against the leak of confidential report of the investigation conducted by the Competition Commission of India against it. In a statement, the company said that the purpose of this exercise is to prevent the illegal release of any confidential information received by the investigating wing of the CCI.
Google said that it has not yet received this confidential report. The technology company further said, “Google has filed a writ petition in the Delhi High Court seeking resolution of the matter and specifically objected to the breach of trust, which causes harm to Google and its affiliates.”
Reports last week said that the Director General of the CCI’s investigative wing has found that Google is involved in unfair business practices with respect to Android.

A company spokesperson said the company fully cooperated and maintained confidentiality throughout the investigation process. We expect the same level of confidentiality from the institutions we are affiliated with.
