New Delhi: To get rid of the corona epidemic, the work of rapid vaccination is going on in the country. So far more than 95 crore people have been given at least one dose of the vaccine. Every state is running a campaign of Corona Vaccine so that more and more people can be vaccinated in the shortest possible time. Meanwhile, India can accelerate the delivery of the vaccine to its friendly countries from December.
According to a senior official, as soon as the requirement of vaccine in the Indian population is fulfilled and the stock of vaccine is more, we will increase exports to meet the requirement of other countries.
Vaccine will have additional stock by December
Earlier it was being speculated that India would be in a position to start exporting the vaccine in the fourth quarter of 2021. The official said that we are confident that by November-December we will have additional stock of vaccine. He said that India will soon export the vaccine to help its friendly countries.

He said that our first priority is that as soon as the ongoing vaccination campaign is completed in most of the states of India, we will start exporting to other countries. The government on October 7 allowed Serum Institute of India (SII) to export one million Covishield doses each to Nepal, Myanmar and Bangladesh, while India would provide one million doses of Covaxin to Iran under the Biotech Maitri programme. Apart from this, SII has also been allowed to supply the Kovidshield vaccine in bulk to the United Kingdom.
A Health Ministry official said that at present, no concrete plan has been made to export the corona vaccine to friendly countries. He said that once we have sufficient stock, we will export the Kovid-19 vaccine to the countries as per the priorities.
