New Delhi (Education News). The first batch of school students in Andhra Pradesh will appear for the CBSE exam from the academic session 2024. 10th class students in the state will be able to appear in the CBSE examination from the year 2024 academic session. Around 2000 schools in the state will get CBSE affiliation this year. Apart from this, for the first time in the state, the education department will also rank the performance of government schools through social audit.
Education Minister Audimulpu Suresh said in a statement that 56,000 schools in the state have to be brought under CBSE affiliation. Out of which at least 2,000 schools will get affiliation this year itself. According to media reports, 45,000 schools and 11,000 foundation schools are being set up in the state. After this, Andhra Pradesh will have the highest number of schools affiliated to CBSE. At present there are about 26000 CBSE affiliated schools in the country. The Education Minister said that the first batch of high school students will appear for the CBSE exam in 2024.
For the first time, the education department of the state will also rank the performance of government schools through social audit. Instead of pointing out mistakes, it aims to identify where schools are lacking. School principals and teachers are being informed and evaluated about the criteria and the ranking process.

According to media reports, the process of renovation and repair of 12,663 schools in the state is going on in the second phase. For this, the total cost of renovation is being said to be around Rs 4,535 crore. There is also a proposal to add 18,498 more classes. In the third phase, 24,900 schools will be renovated at an estimated cost of about Rs 7,821 crore.
