Bangalore. The bodies of five members of the same family were found in a very bad condition in a house located in Byadarahalli area of Bangalore. When the police entered the house, they found the bodies of four adults hanging in different rooms, while the body of a 9-month-old child was lying on the bed. It is being claimed in some reports that after the suicide of family members, the child died due to hunger. A similar case was reported in the year 2018 in Burari, Delhi, where 11 members of a family were found hanging on the ceiling of the house.
The deceased have been identified as Bharti (51), Sinchan (34), Sindhurani (31) and Madhusagar (25). A police officer informed that when they entered the house on Friday, they found the members of the house hanging. It is feared that the members ended their lives due to family discord. It is feared that the death of the family happened about 4 days ago.
Bengaluru West DCP Sanjeev Patil said, ‘The matter came to light when Halegiri Shankar, the owner of the house, reached home after three-four days. He informed that no one was picking up his calls for the last two-three days. When he reached home, he was able to lock the house. Patil further said that the police was informed and the door was broken. “On entering the house, the bodies of four adults were found hanging from the ceiling in different rooms and the child was found dead on the bed,” he said.
He informed that the two-and-a-half-year-old girl was rescued from home and admitted to a nearby hospital, where she is undergoing treatment. The cause of the incident is being investigated. Patil said the Forensic Science Laboratory was summoned and senior officials have reached the spot. Police informed that Bharti is Shankar’s wife and the other three adults are his children. A 9-month-old baby and a two-and-a-half-year-old girl are the grandchildren of Bharti and Shankar.
