Udaipur. 64.6 kg of gold given for the sacrifice of former Prime Minister of India Lal Bahadur Shastri has been handed over to CGST late on Monday night after the order of the court. During this whole incident, strange information has come to the fore. There was an entry of 56 kg 800 grams in the gold articles kept for weighing the former Prime Minister, but when it was weighed again while handing over to CGST, it turned out to be 67 kg 800 grams. The cost of this gold is around Rs 32 crore. Senior officers of CGST were present during the action.
Once again, there was a situation of confusion after getting more gold than the quantity of gold recorded in the records of Malkhana. In such a situation, advocate Praveen Khandelwal told the court order of the year 1975 to the officials. It was written in this order that the entire gold given for weighing former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri should be handed over to the Gold Control Officer. Since now the post of Gold Control Officer is over and CGST team is working in its place. In such a situation, the delivery of gold has been done to the officers of CGST.
The number of a biscuit of 3 kg 200 grams of gold was found different
The court has ordered five times so far on the gold kept for weighing former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. The gold kept in the warehouse of Udaipur District Collector has been handed over only after the order of the court. There was information about 56 kg 863 grams of gold being kept in the Malkhana. But when it was weighed before delivery on Monday night, it turned out to be 67 kg 800 grams. In this, the number of a biscuit of 3 kg 200 grams of gold was different from the number written on the documents. In such a situation, the District Collector has not handed over 3 kg 200 grams of gold biscuits to CGST. 64 kg 600 grams of gold worth about Rs 32 crore was handed over to the CGST team. Advocate Praveen Khandelwal told that an application will be made again in the court for 3 kg 200 grams of gold.
this is the whole matter
In fact, in the year 1965, former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri’s visit to Chittorgarh was proposed. During this tour, 2 people of Chhoti Sadri gave the District Collector gold to weigh the former Prime Minister with gold. However, in the meantime, due to the death of Lal Bahadur Shastri in Tashkent, his visit could not take place. Later this gold remained in the Treasury with the District Collector. After that a person named Gunwant Singh had filed a case against Ganpat of Chhoti Sadri and two others for manipulating gold. In this case, persons named Ganpat and Hiralal were sentenced to 2 years imprisonment and orders were given to hand over the gold to the Gold Control Officer. After appealing in the High Court, Ganpat and Hiralal were acquitted but orders remained to give the gold to the Gold Control Officer. Due to judicial action, the gold could not be given to the Gold Control Officer at that time, but it was kept in the warehouse of Udaipur District Collector.
